In the following article we will focus on a mini laptops comparison in which we will attempt to review a couple of these laptops and see what they provide to the user. There are several manufacturers right now in the world that provide with mini laptops, so we will try seeing what every manufacturer provides with for the end user.
In our mini laptops comparison we will only allow laptops that are 3 pounds or lighter only because the general consensus is that these are the mini laptops of today and no bigger. In this respect, we tested, in our mini laptops comparison, four laptops: the Acer Aspire One, the Sylvania G Netbook, the HP Mini Note 2133 and the Asus EEE PC 1000. I want to say from the beginning that we tested these mini laptops thoroughly and that we purchased them, so we are not biased towards a certain result.
We have seen that the Asus EEE PC is easily the best out of this group. It is the most powerful and it has the longest battery life by far, but it is also the most expensive. However, the price difference is not at all that large, at around 20 percent, and because of this we have to declare the Asus the winner of our mini laptops comparison. The test were conducted using the same applications and the same conditions and even if we include some errors, the Asus is still two times as powerful as the next competitor, the Acer Aspire One. So, if we were to recommend a very reliable and powerful mini laptop, it would have to be the Asus EEE PC. Do keep in mind that the version we tested uses a large flash drive for storage purposes, so it is faster than any kind of hard drive. This is also the reason the Asus was more expensive than the other laptops in our mini laptops comparison test.
Personally, I have to say that I also love the exterior design of the Asus because I always loved simple things. It is also one of the smallest mini notebooks you will ever see and it is one of the most powerful in that price range. There is no doubt about, Asus have made it big with the EEE PC. I would by one time and time again if it kept breaking, but it didn’t, so I just needed to purchase one up until this moment.
