Mini Laptops
With mini laptops, you should expect exactly what the name suggests, a smaller version of the traditionally sized laptop. Mini laptops can be known as mini netbooks or more popularly, just netbook. In the past couple of years, a demand for smaller sized laptops appeared and took off and now the mini laptop is taking over by storm and not slowing down; especially in a world now where smaller is better. Many people just want the same performance they get out of a regular laptop, only in a smaller, more portable size so that the mini laptop can be toted around significantly easier.
The main thing you would probably notice about a mini laptop first, is its size. The size of the mini laptop is so much smaller than that of a regular laptop, the most noticeable smaller part of the mini laptop being the screen. Typically, the screen on a mini laptop will range anywhere from as small as seven inches, to a slightly larger ten inch screen or larger. Even though mini laptops can have a seven inch screen, it is highly recommended that if you were to get a mini laptop, purchase one that has a screen size of at least nine inches. The reason a nine inch screen is probably the best option is because anything smaller would be too small and effect how things run, perform and display on the screen.
Mini laptops are also pretty well known for their long battery life. Generally, a mini laptop can go eight or nine hours on a single charge which is significantly longer than that of a regular laptop, where the battery typically only lasts around three to four hours. The reason a mini laptop’s battery can have such a long life is because the mini laptop does not require as much power as a regular laptop. Everything on a mini laptop is scaled down to a smaller size which means that it can run on lessened power.
Mini laptops are great for most circumstances, but if you are looking for a laptop that boasts the latest and greatest graphics, gaming and whatnot, then a mini laptop is probably not the best option to suit your needs. Mini laptops are more suited for Internet surfing, school and homework and other light tasks. If you need more than that, then a regular laptop would most likely be the best option because they are built to do everything a desktop computer can.
If you are looking for an even more portable laptop, then a mini laptop is the path to follow. Not only are they pretty powerful to be as little as they are, but they can also go just about anywhere due to their small size. Some of these mini laptops boast a screen as small as seven inches, while others have a screen of ten inches or more. These little laptops are excellent for students because they are small enough to travel with them, yet powerful enough to get what needs to be done, done.
